On May 9-10, Vietnam became the host country of the World Series of Beach Wrestling for the first time in history, opening the 2026 season on the Danang coast.
The national team of Ukraine declared itself as it befits the three-time winner of the team standings of the 2023-2025 world series seasons: 6 medals, 3 of which are gold, new pages in the history of Ukrainian beach wrestling and all possible special cups of the tournament.
Three championship titles for Ukraine were won by Oleksiy Boruta (70 kg), Vazha Daiauri (+90 kg) and Oksana Moskalyova (60 kg). For Daiauri and Moskaleva, gold medals in the international arena were the first in their professional careers in beach wrestling. At the same time, Vazha Daiauri's victory was historic for Ukraine - the first gold medal in the weight category of more than 90 kg at the stages of the world series.

Particularly important was the victory of Alexey Boruta, who on the way to the championship in the final confidently defeated the Russian Topshinoev.
Silver awards were won by Sofia Kushnir (60 kg) and Olena Nikitinska (70 kg).
Oleksiy Yakovchuk (90 kg) became the bronze medalist. On the way to the podium, Oleksandr Veresiuk (+90 kg) stopped, Anastasiia Kravchenko (60 kg) took the fifth place, and Ivan Semenov (70 kg) finished the tournament seventh.
In addition to the medal finish, Ukrainian athletes won all possible special cups of the tournament. The award for the best throw among men was received by Vazha Daiauri, among women - by Olena Nikitinska.
