Team victory and golden hat-trick of Ukraine in Batumi: Slobodenyuk, Kushnir and Nikitinska

The national team of Ukraine triumphantly performed at the stage of the world series in Batumi, which was hosted by Georgia for the first time in history on June 20-21. Ukrainians won nine medals, three of which were gold, and confidently took first place in the team standings.

The main characters of the stage were Victoria Slobodenyuk (50 kg), Sofia Kushnir (60 kg) and Olena Nikitinska (70 kg), who confidently won the victory in their weight categories and scored a golden hat-trick for Ukraine. In addition, the throw of Victoria Slobodenyuk was recognized as the best at the stage, for which the athlete received a special cup.

Silver awards were won by Oleksiy Boruta (70 kg), Vazha Daiauri (+90 kg), Halyna Razhonova (70 kg) and Maria Zenkina (+70 kg). Bronze medalists were Diana Rysyova (50 kg) and Oksana Moskalyova (60 kg). A step away from the podium, Ivan Semenov and Anastasia Kravchenko, who took fourth places, stopped, Oleksiy Yakovchuk finished the tournament sixth.

A separate event in Batumi was the international recognition of the Beach Wrestling Federation of Ukraine. UWW representatives noted the long-term work of the Ukrainian team, its contribution to the development of beach wrestling and stable results at the world level.

During the tournament, the national team of Ukraine in beach wrestling was supported by the Honorary President of the Federation Magomed Magdiev, the President of the Federation Milana Brodovska and the head coach of the national team of Ukraine in beach wrestling Alina Berezhna.

It is the leadership of Ukraine in the international beach wrestling arena that is the result of systematic support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, to which the Beach Wrestling Federation of Ukraine is sincerely grateful for its trust and cooperation.
